Linda Schindler has been training and working with dogs in canine performance sports for the past 30 years. Having started in competitive obedience, she turned her interests to conformation showing and agility trials. Her personal achievements include multiple breed championships, obedience titles, and agility titles.
Linda received her Certificate in Training and Counseling (CTC), with honors, from the San Francisco SPCA Academy of Dog Trainers. She was the 2nd trainer in Minnesota to complete this comprehensive and intensive program that covers animal learning and motivation, ethology, behavior problems, aggression, clicker training, obedience progressions, class structure, and more.
She is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA). This certification is the first nationally recognized accreditation for pet dog trainers. Linda was the 11th trainer in Minnesota to become certified.
Linda is a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). The APDT is a professional organization of trainers who are commited to enhancing the human-dog relationship by educating trainers, other animal professionals, and the public about dog-friendly training.
While Linda enjoys training and showing her own dogs, she believes the most urgent need is for education as a preventative to behavior problems, so dogs and their families can live together happily.
